Mrs. Sallie M. Caraway, widow of the late Joseph Caraway. Died at the 
John Hopkins hospital in Baltimore last Sunday evening, May 2, 1909. 
age 62 years.  She had gone to the hospital to undergo an operation 
for dropsical tumor, but passed away before it was attempted.  She was 
a daughter of the late George Hunter and was born in Greenbrier 
county. Her home for many years has been at Renick's Valley. where she 
was buried Tuesday morning. She was the mother of fourteen children, 
twelve of whom survive. Her husband dropped dead near Alderson some 
ten years ago while going from the home of A.R.Lipps to that of John 
G. Stevens.
