OBIT:  Mrs. Rose Cheitham, 75, of Hinton died Wednesday, January 12, 
1972, in Summers County Hospital after a two week illness. Born March 
22, 1896, in Monroe County, she was a daughter of the late Jackson and 
Henrietta Bare Gunoe. She had lived in Hinton for the past 58 years 
and was a member of the Riverview Chapel in Hinton. Survivors include: 
 husband, Charles T. of Hinton; son, Billy J. of Hampton, VA; 
daughters, Mrs. Mildred Briers of Hinton; Mrs. Margaret Mason of 
Richmond, VA; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral 
services will be conducted Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Riverview Chapel in 
Hinton with the Rev. Harry Pilkington, Rev. D. D. Elwee and Rev. Fred 
Dillion officiating.  Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery at 
Ronceverte. The body is at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Home in Hinton 
where friends may call after 3 p.m. today. The body will be taken to 
the church one hour before the service.
