OBIT:  Mr. Zach G. Green, passed away at his home in East Ronceverte 
on Sunday morning, December 15, 1929, after an illness of several 
months of kidney trouble complicated by old age.  Had he lived until 
April 14 next, he would have reached the age of 85 years.  Mr. Green 
was born in Rockbridge County, VA, and came to Greenbrier at the age 
of 18.  He was married to Miss Sarah rebcca Anderson, daughter of the 
late Captain Joe Anderson, who preceded him to the grave January 1, 
1920.  Five of the eleven children born to their union also preceded 
him in death.  The surviving children are:  G. B. Green of 
Camden-on-Gauley; Mrs. Addie Hall of Cass; Mrs. Mary Sanders of 
Lewisburg; J. H. Green, T. B. Green and A. L. Green, all of near 
Lewisburg.  The funeral was held last Monday with burial in the 
Anderson graveyard near where he had long lived.
