J. Morgan, a prominent citizen of near Whitcomb, this county, passed to his reward on Wednesday, April 29, 1925, at the ripe old age of 75 years, six months and 13 days. Morgan and Hubert Morgan of Ronceverte; J. L. Morgan of Hinton, and Mrs. C. E. Long of Moss Run, Virginia. All are living. Mr. Morgan became a Christian and united with the Primitive Baptist church when a young man. Services were conducted both at the home and cemetery by Rev. A. W. Campbell of Luray, Virginia, afterward which the remains were laid to rest in the Honaker Cemetery near Whitcomb, his late home. Mr. Morgan was an upstanding useful citizen, a good neighbor, and thoroughly good man. He will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends.
