OBIT:  White Sulphur, WV, May 12- Mrs. H. B. Bass (should be Vass) 
died suddenly at 11 o'clock at her home here.  Surviving are her 
husband and three step-children, Mrs. Garring East, Low Moor; Rex 
Bass, New York City; Mrs. Hattie Smith, Edgewater, FL.  One brother, 
Bernie Ellison, of Union, WV, and one sister, Mrs. Callie Arritt of 
Covington, VA, also survive.  Funeral arrangements have not been 
completed.  Covington Virginian, Tues. 5/12/1936.
