D. Vass, who died at her home here Tuesday morning, was conducted at the Methodist Church by Rev. J. H. Billingsley of Woodstock, VA, assisted by Rev. Harry Balthis, of White Sulphur Springs, at 2:30 Thursday afternoon. Interment was made in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dr. James Wetzel, K. W. Ballard, W. W. Buran, Rufus Bowling, G. M. Gillespie, E. W. Brackman; honorary pallbearers were: E. B. Kirkpatrick, B. T. Bowers, W. c. Laudermilk; J. B. Baker, Ed East, John Remley, Alvie Buckland, J. E. Forren, C. W. Keyer, S. C. Lewis, Byron Proffet, T. A. Murray, R. M. Dixon. Out of town relatives who attended the funeral were: Mrs. Callie Arritt, of Covington; Roy Ellison, of Charleston; Mrs. R. L. King, of Richmond; Mr. and Mrs. Garring East, of Low Moor; Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Ellison, of Union; Mrs. Lottie Burdette of Charleston; Mrs. Myrtle Arnett and Mrs. Fannie Hull of Beckley; Mr. and Mrs. George Arritt, of Covington.
