OBIT:  ; Mrs. Hugh Vass died at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. 
G. W. Perdue, near Wayside, this county early last Saturday morning, 
June 15, 1907, of consumption, after an illness of several months.  
Mrs. Vass was about 35 years of age.  She was a most estimable lady 
and her death is a sore grief to her very numerous friends.  her 
husband (who is a son of Mr. A. C. Vass) and three little children 
survive her.  The funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. W. 
Brubaker at Upton Church last Sunday, after which the remains of the 
departed lady were interred in the near by cemetery.
