Allison: was born in now Hancock County, West Virginia, March 31, 1830. He married Miss Isabella S. Cory, April 27, 1852. They settled on the farm where they are now living. The farm was first settled by his grandfather, in 1801. He has followed the manufacturing of Agricultural Implements, in connection with farming as his vocation. He served two terms in the legislature. He filled the office of justice of the peace for ten years.
