Biographical Sketches of Hancock County: Samuel Stewart: a son of James Stewart, was born on the farm where he is now living, in now Grant District, Hancock County, West Virginia, in 1832. In 1859 he took a trip to Pike's Peak; remained six months and then returned home. Married Mary E. Donehoo in 1865; they settled on the farm where they are now living. They have a family of four, two sons and two daughters. He has followed farming as his vocation.
