     This indenture made this 30th day of Novemeber in the year of our Lord 
1850 between John Huff and Nancy his wife of the one part and Samuel Huff Senr 
of the other part both of Hancock County Virginia.  Whereas the said Samuel 
Huff Senr by his article of agreement with the said John Huff dated the 23rd 
day of November 1850 amongst other considerations in said Article mentioned 
bound himself to provide for support keep and maintain the said John Huff and 
Nancy his wife in everything necessary and proper for their comfort and 
happiness during their natural lives in consideration whereof the said John 
Huff bound himself to make to the said Samuel Huff a conveyance in general 
warranty for the farm of lands and premises on which he the said John Huff 
resides. This Indentures therefore witnesseth that for and in consideration of 
the premises as well as for the further consideration of one dollar to them 
the said John Huff and Nancy his wife by the said Samuel Huff in hand paid at 
and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is 
hereby acknowledged they the said John Huff and Nancy his wife have granted 
bargained and sold and by these present do grant bargain sell convey and 
confirm unto the said Samuel Huff his heirs and assigns forever all the 
following described tract or parcel of Land and premises situate in the county 
of Hancock aforesaid adjoining Lands of Robert Prosser Wm Huff, John Glass 
Elijah Corey Vaughns and others and is bounded as follows. Beginning as a 
Small Lynn on a Run thence N 52 W 31 poles to a Hicory N 76 W 67 poles to a 
sassafras bush N 28 E 19 poles to a Hicory N 28 W 29 poles to a post S 65 W 48 
poles to a white oak S 27 E 218 poles to a white oak N 89 E 57 poles to a 
post  S 70 W 133 poles to the place of beginning containing One hundred acres 
be the same more or less with all the appurtenances.    To Have and to hold 
the above discribed  tract or parcel of lands and premises with the 
appurtenances to the said Saml Huff his heirs and assigns to the only proper 
use and behoof of him the said Saml Huff his heirs and assigns forever.  And 
the said John Huff and Nancy his wife for themselves and their heirs executons 
and administrators do hereby command and agree to and with the said Samuel 
Huff his heirs and assigns that they the said John Huff and Nancy  his wife 
the above described tract or parcels of lands and premises to the said Saml 
Huff his heirs and assigns Shall and will warrant and forever defend from all 
persons and claims whatsoever
     In testimony whereof the said John Huff and Nancy his wife have hereunto 
set their hands and seals the day and year first above written

                              We James H Pugh and John Pittenger Justices of 
the peace in and for said county do hereby certify that John Huff and Nancy 
his wife part to a certain deed bearing date the 30th day of Nov 1850 and 
hereunto annexed personally appeared before us in our said County and 
acknowledged the same to be their act and deed and desired us to certify the 
said acknowledgement to the clerk of the county court of Hancock in order that 
it may be recorded.  The said Nancy being at the same time by us examined 
separate and apart from her husband and having said deed explained to her said 
she had willingly and of her own signed and sealed the same and that she 
wished not to retract it    Given under our hands and seals this 30th day of
