Chambers, 82, of 720 Third Ave., who died Saturday, Sept. 23, 1989, at Weirton Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born in Chester Dec. 6, 1906, a daughter of the late Paul Halstead and Mary Martin Halstead. Her husband, John Chambers, died in April 1981. Mrs. Chambers was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Chambers of New Cumberland and William Chambers of Toronto; a daughter, Mrs. Dominic (Kathryn) Cassesa of Geneva, Ohio; three sisters, Thelma Pugh of Newell, Helen Britton of Lawrenceville and Gladys Pryor of Callahan, Fla.; 20 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. The Rev. Gary Shepherd of the church and the Rev. Charles E. Andrews of Nessly Chapel are to conduct the services at 2 p.m. at the Turley Funeral Home. Burial is to be in Union Cemetery at New Manchester. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
