Craft, 87, formerly of the Mary Patterson Memorial on E. 4th St., died Sunday at 8:28 p.m. at the Nentwick Nursing home following an illness of four years. Virtually a lifelong area, Mrs. Craft was born May 24, 1894, in Pughtown, W. Va., a daughter of Gomer L. Wern and Mary L. Beaumont Wern. She retired from the Hall China Co., and was an honorary member of the IBPAW. Mrs. Craft was a member of the Emmanuel United Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Orville (Geraldine) Handley of Tolleson, Ariz.; a son, George Richard Craft of East Liverpool; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services are to be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from the Dawson Funeral Home by Pastor Andrew Wiegand of the First Church of Christ. Burial is to be in Union Cemetery, New Manchester, W. Va. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon and night. The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Emmanuel United Presbyterian Church.
