Dornan, died Monday night at Jamison Memorial Hospital in New Castle after a brief illness. She was born in East Liverpool Jan. 1, 1900, daughter of the late Thomas Henry Stephens and Clara Rietzke Stephens. She had been a housemother at the Sigma Nu Fraternity House at Wesminster College in New Wilmington. She also served at one time in the same capacity at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and at Mr. Union College at Illinois. Mrs. Dornan was a former member of the Woman's Club, Eastern Star Chapter and the Westminster United Presbyterian Church, all of Chester, and the Helen Gould Literary Club of East Liverpool. Her husband died in 1948. She is survived by a son, Thomas Dornan of Fint (sic), Mich.; a brother, George Stephens of St. Louis, Mo., and three grandchildren. The Chester Arner Funeral Home is arranging services. NOTE: Loretta Dornan Stephens is buried at Union Cemetery, New Manchester.
