Oscar (Posey) Flowers, 79, a patient at the Fox Nursing Home for about two 
years, died this morning at 5:30 at City Hospital, where he had been a 
patient two weeks.

Mr. Flowers was born in Pughtown, now New Manchester, Feb. 22, 1891, a son 
of the late Oscar Flowers and Iva Nora Jackson Flowers.  He operated a 
refreshment stand at the Harker China Co. in Chester until 1963.

He is survived by two sons, Clifford Flowers and Donald Flowers, both of 
Chester, and two grandchildren.  His wife, Janet Collins Flowers, died June 
4, 1963.

Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Chester Arner Funeral Chapel 
by the Rev. Daniel Davis of the Chester First Christian Church.  Burial will 
be in Union Cemetery, New Manchester.

Friends may call at the chapel tonight after 7 and Sunday.
