This census was taken by Clifton and Lila Funkhouser in 1979. They
recorded many Hardy County cemeteries and generously wanted their
work made available to the public; therefore, they gave a copy to
the Hardy County Public Library. It is reproduced here with
permission from the Library.

This single grave is located in the large field in back of the
Vanmeter house (in 1979) at Old Fields and in the area that is
possibly the site of Fort Pleasant.
