VANGILDER THE MOOREFIELD (WV) EXAMINER, Wednesday, July 24, 1996 Paul V. VanGilder, age 71 years, a resident of Baker, WV, for a number of years passed away July 11th in the VA Hospital in Martinsburg, WV. He was born Dec. 16, 1924 at Czar, WV, a son of the late Charles Hayes and Hazel Smith VanGilder. Mr. VanGilder is survived by three brothers, Charles Edgar VanGilder of Kettering, Ohio, Robert VanGilder of Lexington, VA and Lester VanGilder of Martinsburg; two sisters, Ester Amtower of California and Joy Mossor of Titusville, Florida; and two grandchildren. He had worked as a Health Care Provider and was a veteran of World War II. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 17th at the Pine Grove Church at Czar with Rev. J.P. Morgan, Jr. and Rev. Norman Butler officiating. Interment was in the Pine Grove Cemetery. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins was in charge of the arrangements. ************************************************* MARIE JULIETTE VANMETER THE MOOREFIELD (WV) EXAMINER, Wednesday, November 10, 1999 Marie J. VanMeter, age 78, of Maysville, WV, died Tuesday, November 2, 1999 at her home. Born August 26, 1921 in Jordan Run, WV, she was the daughter of the late Daniel G. and Nida E. (Turner) Nesslerodt Brotherton. Mrs. VanMeter and her husband were ordained Pentecostal Ministers and were pastors of the House of Prayer in Maysville for several years. She was a personal care provider for several years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. VanMeter, November 15, 1997. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Coles Nesslerodt and Warren Nesslerodt. Surviving are one son, Kenny VanMeter of Maysville, WV; one sister, Tomasenia Ours of Maysville, WV; two grandchildren, Matthew VanMeter of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Ashley VanMeter of Maysville, WV. Funeral services were conducted Friday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg, WV with the Rev. Joseph D. Eversole officiating. Burial was in the Turner Family Cemetery, Jordan Run Road, Maysville, WV. VEACH THE MOOREFIELD (WV) EXAMINER, Wednesday, April 24, 1996 Jasper Henson Veach, age 73, of Purgitsville, WV passed away Sunday, April 21, 1996 at the Hampshire Memorial Hospital in Romney. Born in Purgitsville on May 11, 1922, a son of the late Luther Dayton Veach and Sarah Effie (Shoemaker) Veach, he was a veteran of World War II and a member of the N.R.A. and retired from the Department of Highways. Surviving are his wife, Lillian Jane (High) Veach, three sons, Gary M. Veach, William D. (Bill) Veach and John H. Veach, all of Purgitsville. Also four grandchildren, Andrew F. Veach, Daniel H. Veach, Sarah E. Veach and Kristi S. Veach. Funeral services were held at the Miller Funeral Home on Tuesday with the Rev. Elwood R. Dunn and Glen R. Hamric officiating with burial with military graveside rite accorded by the Hampshire County Veterans Organization in the Shoemaker Cemetery in Purgitsville, WV.
