Courthouse, Moorefield, Wv Written: November 29, 1802 Recorded: April 11, 1804 In the name of God amen, I George Simon of the county of Hardy and state of Virginia being very infirmed in body but of sound memory and understanding blessed be God to this twenty ninth day of November one thousand eight hundred and two do hereby make my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say first I desire that all my just debts and funeral expense be paid out of my estate after my decease - secondly after the payment of my debts and funeral expense I give to my wife Mary Simon, one gray mare, two cows and our bed, also the one third part of all the remainder out of my estate both real and personal for deed during the time of her natural life and after her decease I give the same to my children herein after mentioned, that is to say the personal part thereof to be equally divided amongst them and to be enjoyed by them forever, that is to say to my sons George, Benjamin, Jacob and Christian Simon, Elizabeth Rodabough, Catherine Rodabough and Mary Kessell equally I give to my two sons, that is to say to my son George Simon and Christian Simon all my lands lying and being in the county of Hardy on the south fork to be equally divided between them the said George and Christian, the said George & Christian to pay each of my daughters twenty pound current money of Virginia that is to say twenty pounds to Elizabeth Rodabough, twenty to Catherine Rodabough and twenty to Mary Kessell, to be paid within four years after my decease, forthly I give to my two sons, that is to say to my son Benjamin Simon and Jacob Simon all my lands lying and being in Harrison County to be equally divided between them the said Benjamin and Jacob Simon, fiftly all the rest of my several children herein before named which I give to them their heirs forever and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my friends Christian Simon and George Simon executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other or former wills or testaments by me heretofore made in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty ninth day of November 1802.
