Page 189 Elija Roberts 50 Acres to title bond William Roberts Know all men by these present that I Elija Roberts of the County of Harrison County, Va. do hereby bind myself my heirs and administrators in the penal sum of $400. Dollars to be paid to William Roberts of the County of Harrison and State of afforesaid signed sealed this 8th of July AD 1835 The Conditions of the above bond are such that the sd. Eliga Roberts doth agree to and binds himself his heirs and executors and ad,inistrators to make unto William Roberts, his son a good and lawful Deed within eleven years from this date in which time the sd. William Roberts in consideration of the land is to pay unto Moses Roberts the sum of $50.oo Dollars lawful money of Va. and sd. is a part of the old home track but lays higher up the run and boundies as follows To Wit beginning at a Sugar on Alexanderia Pickens line and running with the sd. line to a Sycamore corner on Joseph Osburns line and then running with D. Boardman's line and so on Containing of 50 acres Signed and sealed this 8th day of July 1835. in presences of his Test Jesse w. Arnold Elija X Roberts seal Stephen Arnold Elizabeth Arnold mark Harrison County Court clerk's Office August 20 1838 The foregoing Title Bond was presented in this office on the 7th day of Novembrer 1837 and proved by the oath of Jesse W. Arnold and Stephen Arnold and on the above mentioned 20th day of August 1838 the same was proved by the oath of Elizabeth Artnold and admitted to record.
