THIS RECORD WAS DONATED TO THE HARRISON COUNTY WVGenWeb PROJECT/ARCHIVES ONLY: www.rootsweb.com/~wvharris ********************************************************************** Transcribed and submitted by: Cathy Warren Abijah Waren to Joseph Wilkinson, 1814, Harrison Co, WV Deed Book 12, Page 3 Abijah Waren Deed Joseph Wilkinson This Indenture made this Seventeenth day of Jan[uary] the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and Fourteen betw[een] Abijah Waren and Kasa his wife of Harrison County [and] Commonwealth of Virginia of the one part and Joseph Wilkinson of [the] same place of the other part Witnesseth that they the said Abijah War[en and] Kassa his wife for and in consideration of Two hundred and Fifty Do[llars to] them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath gra[nted] bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these pres[ents] doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said Josep[h] Wilkinson a certain tract or parcel of land lying the county and [state] aforesaid situate on Pedlars run a branch of Simpsons creek containing [ ] which land the said Waren obtained a a deed fro the seventeenth day of October [eighteen] Hundred and Nine from John Albin junior and bounded as follows towit beginning at a White oak and running North Twenty and a half Degrees East One Hundred poles to a poplar thence North seventy Degrees [ ] Eighty poles to a pile of stone South Eighteen Degrees West one hund[red ] two poles to a Whiteoak & Maple thence South sixty eight and an h[alf de]grees East Seventy six poles to the beginning containing Fifty acres tog[ ] all profits and commodities thereunto belonging or in any Wise appurtenances [ ] all its appurtenances to have have and to hold, the said tract or parcel of [land] with all its appurtenances unto the said Joseph Wilkinson his heirs and [assigns] forever and they the said Abijah Waren and Kassa his wife for their [ ] their heirs &c doth covenant that they will forever Warrant and Defend said tract or parcel of land unto the said Joseph Wilkinson hi[s heirs] and assigns In Witness whereof they the said Abijah Waren and Kassa his [wife have] hereunto [ ] their hands and affixed their seals the day and [ ] January [ ] 1814 Abijah (his mark) Waren [Kassa] (her mark) [Waren] [rest of document cut off]
