Witnesseth that they the said John Bennet & Jane his wife for and in consideration of the sum of two dollars current money to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold Aliened Enfeoffered & Confirmed & by these presents do grant bargain sell Alien Enfeoff & confirm unto the said William Stutler his heirs executors & administrators a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Harrison & State of Virginia situate on a drain of Rush river a water of the West Fork of Mononglia River being a part of that Tract of land of One Hundred & twenty acres whereon hethe sd John Bennet & (?) now occupies & bounded as followeth towit Beginning at a stake & running thence South Nineteen degrees West sixteen poles to a stone thence North thirty three degrees thirty minutes West nineteen poles one third to a White Oak thence South Eighty Seven degrees East fifteen poles one third to the Beginning containing two Roods & thirty eight poles together with all profits & commodities thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining with all it appertenances to have and to hold the sd tract or parcel of land with all its appertenances unto the said William Stutler his heirs and assigns forever and they the sd John Bennet and Jane, his wife for themselves & their heirs Executors & administrators do covenant that they will forever warrant & defend the sd tract or parcel of land from all persons whatever unto the sd William Stutler his heirs (?) assigns. In Witness whereof they the sd John Bennet & Jane his wife have Hereunto set their hands & affixed their seals the day & year above written. John Bennet Jane Bennet Harrison County towit, We Joseph Cheuvront & Elias Lowther magistrates of the said County do hereby certify that John Bennet & Jane his wife the parties to the within conveyance have acknowledged the same before us on the 25th day of May in the year of our Lord 1819 & desired us to certify the sd acknowledgment to the Clerk of the County of Harrison in order that the said acknowledgement may be recorded As witness our hands & seals.
