Cox Patrick Henry Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, to all to whom these presents shall come, Greetings. Knowledge by virtue and in consideration of a Land Treasury Warrent: Number Eighteen Thousand Seven Hundred and Four, and issued the Fouthteenth day of August, One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Three. There is granted by said commonwealth unto Isaac Cox and John afsigned of Thomas Proctor, a certain tract or parcel of land containing ten thousand acres by survey bearing date: Twenty Ninth day of November, One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Four in the county of Harrison, adjoining Thomas Proctor's survey number twenty three. To wit beginning at a white oak tree, corner to said survey, and running thence South forty five degrees West, twelve hundred and forty two poles to a red oak. North forty five degrees West twelve hundred and eighty nine poles to a stake number twenty four. North forty five degrees East twelve hundred and forty two poles to a black oak. South forty five degrees East twelve hundred eighty nine poles, along a line above mentioned survey, to the beginning with its appurtenances. To Have and To Hold the said tract or parcel of land with it appurtenances to said Isaac Cox and John Ramsey and their heirs forver. In witness of the said Patrick Henry esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath here unto set his hand caused the seal of said commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the Twentieth day of March in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Six, and of the commonwealth the Tenth.
