JACOB EIB
THIS INDENTURE made this first day of June in the year of our
Lord 1810 between PETER EIB & ELISABETH HIS WIFE of the County
of Harrison and State of Ohio of the one part & JACOB EIB of
the County of Harrison and State of Virginia of the other part
WITNESSETH that they the said PETER EIB & ELISABETH his wife
for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to
them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
have granted bargained & sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed
and by these presents do grant bargain and sell alien enfeoff
and confirm unto the said JACOB EIB and his heirs and assigns
a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the said County of
Harrison on the Westerly side of the West fork it being the
same tract of land heretofore conveyed by the said JACOB AND
WIFE to the said PETER and bounded as followeth (viz)
Beginning ... West fork ... bank of Turkey pen run ... one
hundred and fifty five acres and a quarter ... To have and
to Hold the said tract or parcel of land with all its
appurtenances unto the said JACOB EIB and his heirs and
assigns forever and they the said PETER EIB AND ELIZABETH
HIS WIFE for themselves and their heirs do covenant that
they will forever warrant and defend the said tract or parcel
of land unto the said JACOB EIB and his heirs and assigns and
they the said PETER AND ELIZABETH have full power and legal
authority to sell & convey the same to the said JACOB EIB.
In witness whereof the sd PETER EIB & ELIZABETH HIS WIFE have
hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first
above writen

On the first day of June one thousand eight hundred and
ten personally came before me the Justice of the Peace
in and for said County PETER EIB & ELIZABETH HIS WIFE
and severally acknowledged the within instrument of
writing to be his voluntary act & deed for the purposes
within expressed and required that the same might be
recorded as such she the sd ELIZABETH being of full age
and separate and apart out of the hearing of her said
husband by me examined and declared that she signed
sealed and as her voluntary act and deed & delivered
the same without any caution or compulsion from her
said husband given under my hand and the seal the day
and year first before writen

In Testimony that Abram Crist Esquire before whom
the Instrument in writing appears to have been acknowledged
was at the time of taking the same a justa of the peace in
& for said County duly commissioned and sworn & that full
faith and credit are and of right ought to be given to his
offical acts as such as well in Courts of justice as
thereout I have hereunto set my hand & affixed the seal of
my office at New Lisbon 2nd June 1810
