THIS RECORD WAS DONATED TO THE HARRISON COUNTY WVGenWeb PROJECT/ARCHIVES ONLY: www.rootsweb.com/~wvharris ********************************************************************** John Albin to Abijah Warner, 1809 Transcribed and submitted by: Cathy Warren Harrison County Deed Book 9 Page 69-70 John Albin To / / Deed Abijah Warner THIS INDENTURE made this seventeenth day of October in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred & nine between John Albin & Katharine his wife of the County of Harrison and State of Virginia of the one part and Abijah Warner of the same place of the other part WITNESSETH that they the said John Albin and Catherine his wife for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said Abijah Warner a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the County and State aforesaid situate on Pedlers Run a branch of Simpsons Creek containing fifty acers which land the said Albin obtained a deed for the nineteenth of October Eighteen hundred and one from his father and bounded as follows towit, beginning at a white oak corner to the original survey and running along said line North twenty and an half degrees east one hundred poles to a poplar thence North Seventy degrees West eighty poles to a pile of stone South eighteen degrees West one hundred and two poles to a White oak & Maple on an-other of said original lines & by the same South sixty eight and an half degrees east seventy six poles to the beginning containing fifty acers Together with all profits and commodities thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining with all its appertenances To have an to hold the said tract or parcel of land with all its appurtenances unto the said Abijah Warner his heirs and assigns forever and they the said John Albin and Catharine his wife for themselves and their heirs &c doth covenant that they will forever warrant and defend the said tract or parcel of land unto the said Abijah Warner his heirs and assigns In Witness Whereof they the said John Albin & Catharine his wife hath hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written John Albin (Seal) Catharine Albin (Seal) Harrison County October Court 1809 This deed of bargain and sale was presented in Court and acknowledged by John Albin and Catharine his wife (parties thereto) she having been first privily examined and consenting and ordered to be recorded Teste B Wilson C.
