SCOTT to HENRY MACE THIS INDENTURE made the fifteenth day of December in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred & Six between David Scott of the County of Monongalia and State of Virginia of the one part & Henry Mace of the County of Harrison of the other part. WITNESSETH that for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred & Six dollars to the said David Scott in hand paid by the said Henry Mace at or before Sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and therefore doth release acquit & discharge the said Henry Mace his heirs Exrs. & admrs. by these presents he the said David Scott hath Granted bargained sold aliened & Confirmed & by these presents doth Grant bargain alien release & Confirm unto the said Henry Mace now in actual posession by Virtue of a bargain & Sale to him thereof made by David Scott a certain piece or parcel of Land Situate laying [sic] & being in the County of Harrison & State aforesaid on the Little Kenhawa [sic] & bounded as follows Begining [sic] at a Walnut & running North Twenty five Degrees West Twenty poles to an Ash on the Bank of the river then the Meanders of the river Two Hundred & Sixty Six poles to a Sugar tree thence North fifty to the old Original line thence with said line South fifty four degrees West Eighty poles to the Beginning to Contain one Hundred & three acres and all houses Buildings Orchards Way Waters Water Courses profits Commodities hereditaments & appurenances whatsoever to the siad premises hereby granted or any thereof Belonging or in any wise appurtainging and the Reversions & reversions remainder & remainders rents issues & profits thereof and also all the Estate right title Interest use Trust property Claim & demands whatsoever of him the said David Scott of in and to the said premises unto the said Henry Mace his heirs & assigns to the only proper use & behoof of the said Henry Mace his heirs & assigns forever & the said David Scott for himself his heirs Exrs. & admrs. Doth covenant promise & grant to & with the said Henry Mace his heirs & assigns by these presents that the said David Scott has full power to convey the same to the said Henry Mace in manner & form aforesaid & lastley [sic] the said David Scott & his heirs shall warrant & forever defend the same by these presents.
