Submitted 1998 by Patt Seitas ************************************************************************** Harrison County, West Virginia STOUT/MAXON Deed - 1806 Deed Book 6, page 95 - Deed HEZEKIAH & PEGGY STOUT to SIMION MAXON THIS INDENTURE made this seventeenth day of February in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and six between Hezekiah Stout and Peggy his wife of the County of Harrision and State of Virginia of the one part and Simion Maxon of the other part; WITNESSETH, that the said Hezekiah Stout and Peggy his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one Hundred Dollars lawful money of Virginia, the reciept [sic] where of is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold aliend enfeoffed released and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release & confirm to the said Simion Maxon his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the said County & State aforesaid situate on Middle Island Creek and onthe State road being part of a tract of four hundred arces [sic] held by Jacob Israel and know by the name of the buckeye bottom on the lower end of said tract beginning at a sugar tree North thirty five degrees Eeast [sic] two hundred and seventeen poles to a walnut and sugar tree thence South seventy seven degrees Eeast [sic] seventy four poles to a White Oak thence South 35 degrees East two hundred and seventeen poles crossing the creek thence one straight line to the beginning containing one hundred and six acres to have and to hold the avove described tract or parcel of land with the appurtinances [sic] to the said Simion Maxon his heirs and assigns to the ony proper use and behoof of the said Simion Maxon his heirs and assigns forever: and the said Hezekiah & Peggy for themselves their heirs and assigns do hereby covenant to, and with the said Simion Maxon his heirs and assigns that they the said Hezekiah and Peggy the above described tract or parcel of land with the appurtinances [sic] to the said Simion Maxon his heirs and assigns, shall and will warrant, and forever defend, against all persons and cliams, whatsoever. In Testimony whereof, the aforesaid Hezekiah Stout & Peggy his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year first above written.
