Submitted 1998 by Patt Seitas ************************************************************************** HARRISON COUNTY, WV DEED BOOK 5, PAGES 409-410 (DEED) JOHN & SARAH TINGLEY to HEZEKIAH STOUT THIS INDENTURE made this fifteenth day of October Eighteen hundred & one Betwen [sic] John Tingly and Sarah his wife of the County of Harrison and State of Virginia of the one part and Hezekiah Stout of the same place of the other part Witness that the said John Tingle [sic] and Sarah his wife for and in consideration of the Sum of One thousand Dollars current money to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted Bargained Sold aliend Enfeoffed & confirmed & by these presents doth grant bargain sell Alien Enfeoff & confirm unto the said Hezekiah Stout his heirs & Assigns a certain tract or parcel of Land lying & being in the County of Harrison & State of Virginia Situate onthe West Side of the West Fork it being part of a tract of land Pattented [sic] to Thomas Hughs [sic] the 26th of October 1786 & Bounded as follweth Viz, Begining [sic] at a witheoak Standong ont he West bank of the West fork [sic] and running thence N 52 W 32 poles to a Beech N 38 E -- [sic] to a Gum N 52 W 48 poles to a Stake S 34 W poles to a stake 53 1/2 W 246 poles to a poplar Standing on a line of the original Survey thence with two lines of the same N 34 W 126 poles to a blackoak Standing on a hill S 4 E 94 jpoles to a poplar on the River Bank thence down with the meanders of the Same 180 poles to a white oak Frances Laws corner thence with two of his lines N 39 E 25 poles to a State S 55 E 194 poles to a take on the river bank thence down the same with the meanders to the Begining [sic] Containing [sic] acres together with all profits & commodities hereunto belonging or in anywise appurtaining with all its appurtenances To Have & To Hold the said Tract or parcel of land with all the appurences unto unto [sic] said Hezkeiah Stout his heirs & assigns forever & they the said John Tingly & Sarah his wife for themselves & their heirs &c to covenant that they will forever Warrant & Defend the said Tract or parcel of land unto the said Hezekiah Stout his heirs & Assigns.
