Stutler Deed 60 acres This Deed, made and entered into between Elias Stutler and Rebecca, his wife of the one part, and Wm. P. Stutler of the other part, both parties being residents of the county of Harrison & State of West Virginia. Witnesseth, that the said Elias Stutler and Rebecca, his wife for and in consideration of natural affection, and also the further sum of One Dollar cash in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have this day sold and conveyed to the said Wm. P. Stutler, his heirs and assigns forever, Sixty (60) acres of Land more or less, lying on the right hand fork of Kincheloe Creek, in said county and State, adjoining the 31 acres below conveyed to Simon C. Stutler, and also adjoining the 16 acres conveyed to Aaron Stutler, west end of said original tract. And the said Elias Stutler and Rebecca his wife, warrants the title to the same generally. It is nevertheless, agreed upon in the conveyance that the said Elias Stutler and Rebecca his wife, do hereby retain a life Estate in said piece of 60 acres of land so conveyed above, being a part of the original tract which the said Elias and Wm. P. Stutler now resides on. Witness our hands and seals this 9th June 1870 Elias + Stutler his mark Rebecca Stutler Duley rec $1.00 ES. June 9th 1870 State of West Va, Harrison County, to wit. I, James S. Law, a Justice of Union Township, and county aforesaid, do certify that Elias Stutler and Rebecca Stutler his wife, whose names are signed to the foregoing Deed, bearing date from June 9th 1870, personally appeared before me in my Township of Union, and acknowledged the same to be their act and deed, and the said Rebecka Stutler, wife as aforesaid, being duly examined by me privily and apart from her husband, and having the said Deed fully explained to her , she the said Rebecka Stutler declared that she had willingly acknowledged and executed the same, and does not wish to retract it. Given under my hand this 10th day of June 1870. James S. Law, Justice of Union Township. West Virginia Office of the Recorder of Harrison County, June 25th 1870 Be it remembered that this Deed duly stamped, and the annexed certificate were this day duly admitted to record in this office.
