Wamsley and Levinah Wamsley his wife of Harrison County and State of Virginia of the one part and Abia P. Wamsley of the County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Abner G. Wamsley and Levinah Wamsley his wife in consideration of six hundred dollars of lawful money of this Commonwealth to them in hand paid by the said Abia P. Wamsley, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged to have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do and each of these doth bargain and sell unto the said Abia P. Wamsley his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County and State aforesaid and bounded as follows, to wit, Beginning at a Beech and a stone at the mouth of Browns Run on the West Fork River thence up said river 122 poles with its meanders and with a line of the original survey to a sugar tree on the right hand side of the county road (as you go towards Shinnston) and about 20 poles below land conveyed by David Wamsley to John Sines and from thence a straight line up the river hill and across the flat on the top of said hill and crossing three small gullies to a White oak on a point, and from thence a straight line to James D. Matson’s hill and with said Matson’s lines to Absalom D. Wamsley’s line and with said Absalom Wamsley’s lines to the beginning containing one hundred acres. To have and to hold the above described tract or parcel of land to him the said Abia P. Wamsley his heirs and assigns forever and the aforesaid Abner G. Wamsley and Levinah his wife doth further covenant and agree with the said Abia P. Wamsley that they will forever warrant and defend the title to the said tract of land to him the said Abia P. Wamsley his heirs or assigns forever, against the claim or claims of any person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof, the said Abner G. Wamsley and Levinah his wife have hereunto set their hand and seals the day and year first above mention. Signed sealed and delivered in the presents of Abner G.
