Warmsley and Lavina his wife of the one part and James D. Matson of the other part witnesseth that the said A.G. Warmsley by and for and in consideration of the sum of ninety dollars to him in hand paid by the said James D. Watson the receipt whereof is here by acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by the presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said James D. Matson the following described tracts or parcel of land situated in Harrison County and state of Virginia on the south side of Brown’s Run a drane [sic - drain] of the West fork of Mongahelia [sic] River bound as follows. Beginning at a beach [sic - beech] in a line between said Warmsley and Jacob Fortney thence north by east 108 poles to a white oak and beach near the falls of the befor [sic] mentioned run thence north 45 west 10 poles to a sugar tree thence north 29 east 2 ¼ to a stake in line between Abraham [sic-Absalom] and Abner Wamsley thence with a line of the same north 54 west 38 poles to a stone thence with an original line south 29 west 98 poles to a white walnut and hickory corner between said Wamsley and Jacob Fortney thence with a line between the same south 38 east 48 ¾ poles to the beginning containing thirty acres more or less to have and to hold the above desribed tract or parcel of land with its appurtaenance unto the said James D. Matson his heirs and assigns forever and the said James D. Matson his heirs and assigns forever and the said A.G. Wamsley and Lavina his wife have set their hands and seals this day and year above written. Abner G.
