A. HUFFMAN IS DEAD AT 80 A Clarksburg resident for over 50 years, Luther Alvin Huffman, 80, of 230 E. Pike St., died Wednesday morning at 5:30 o’clock in a Clarksburg hospital following an illness of one month. A former local businessman, Mr. Huffman operated the L. A Huffman Typewriter Service until several years ago during which time he repaired and sold typewriters. He also worked for the Burton and Heaster Company and Clarksburg Office Supply. He formerly resided at 220 Meigs Ave. Mr. Huffman was a member of the Clarksburg Lodge 155, AF and AM; the First Presbyterian Church, and the McClelland Bible Class. He was born Feb. 16, 1880, near Waynesburg, Greene County, Pa. His wife, the former Aline Granzin of New Orleans, preceded him in death about 15 years ago. Surviving is one son, Luther A. Huffman Jr. of Miami, Fla. Mr. Huffman was born February 16, 1890 in Greene County, Pa. His wife, Mrs. Aline Granzin Huffman died fifteen years ago. Surviving are one son, Luther Alvin Huffman Jr., of Miami, Fla. Mr. Huffman was the last of his family. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the McClelland Bible Class. He was a member of Clarksburg Lodge No. 155 A.F. & A.M. Friends are being received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main St., where funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Victor Fogelin will conduct the service and the interment will be in the Bridgeport Cemetery. Clarksburg Lodge No. 155 A.F. & A.M. will furnish pallbearers and conduct Masonic Rites at the grave. There will be a special communication of the Lodge Friday at 12:30 p.m. for the purpose of attending and conducting the funeral. Davis-Weaver Service.
