Know all men by these presents that we Simon Stutler
and David Stutler 
are held and firmly bound with the Commonwealth of Virginia in the
sum of one hunred and fifty dollars to which payment will truely to be
made we bind ourselves one and each of our heirs ?? and administrators
jointly and severally by these presents sealed with our seal and dated this
3rd day of March 1849.
Whereas a marriage suddenly intended to be held and solemnized between
the above [named] Simon Stutler and Mary Adaline Richards

 Now the condition of the above obligation is such that if there be no 
lawful cause or just impediment to obstruct the said marriage, then the
above obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virture.
