In the name of God Amen. First my will and desire I commit my soul to God through redeemer Jesus Christ. 2ndly my desire is that my body be decently buried according to the direction of my executor hereafter mentioned and that the expenses thereof be first paid out of my estate. 3rdly From natural love and affection I give and bequeath unto JONATHAN RADCLIFF 100 pounds Virginia currency also to JONATHAN RADCLIFF one trunk and two padlocks I have at Sethman Comans. 4thly I give and bequeath unto SUSANNAH RADCLIFF during her life the interest of one hundred pounds which hundred pound Virginia currency is to be put out to interest by my Executor hereafter mentioned and if the said SUSANNAH should die before her mother CATHERINE RADCLIFF Then the said interest on the one hundred pounds to the said SUSANNAH RADCLIFF and CATHERINE RADCLIFF should depart this life before JOHN RADCLIFF SENIOR then the said interest to the said JOHN RADCLIFF during his life and remainder the said one hundred pounds to the Heirs of the said SUSANNAH RADCLIFF. 5thly I give and bequeath unto JOHN RADCLIFF JUN'R 100 pounds Virginia currency. 6thly I give and bequeath unto JOHN RADCLIFF fifty pounds Virginia currency-also to JAMES RADCLIFF all the interest that may be due to me at my death on 400 pounds which I now have an interest or any part thereof or any other sums not herein other wise disposed. 7thly I give and bequeath unto BENJAMIN RADCLIFF son of JOHN RADCLIFF 50 pounds Virginia currency. 8thly I give and bequeath unto JOSEPH SHREVE and ABRAHAM SHREVE 420 acres of land lying and being in the County of Randolph Virginia on the waters of the dry fork of Cheat to be divided equally between the said JOSEPH and ABRAHAM also I give and bequeath and release any sums that may be due me from JOSEPH SHREVES by note or otherwise at my Death. 9thly I give and bequeath unto ______ COX (whose Christian name I do not recollect if I ever heard) who married the daughter of my brother JOHN SHREVE SEN'R the balance of three surveys in Pendleton County all of which surveys contain 300 acres and 24 acres being all the land I hold in said County also I give bequeath to the said COX above described 190 acres of land lying and being in the County of Hardy on the South Branch also I give to said above described COX a note on JOHN SHREVE. 10thly I give and bequeath unto BENJAMIN SHREVE son of BENJAMIN SHREVE my brother all the obligations notes bonds and claims that I may have or be entitled to or against JAMES DOBBINS or his heirs and assigns. 11thly I give and bequeath unto BENJAMIN SHREVE son of JAMES SHREVE my brother all the sums he may stand indebted to me by note bond or otherwise. 12thly I give and bequeath unto MARY HEDGER wife of JOSEPH HEDGER one feather cover which I left at DANIEL MILLERS. 13thly I further give and bequeath unto JAMES RADCLIFF a land office treasury warrant lodged in the hands of WILLIAM HETH Hardy County Virginia for 900 acres also one other land office treasury warrant of 920 acres lodged in the hands of EDWARD JACKSON the surveyor of Randolph County I give and bequeath to said JAMES RADCLIFF. And lastly this my last will and testament I make constitute ordain and appoint JAMES RADCLIFF the sole Executor of my estate to be actuated and governed by this my last will and testament I witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this eighth day of September in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and eleven.
