John Beaty In the name of God, amen, this eleventh day of November, one thousand eight hundred six, I John Beaty of the county of Harrison and state of Virginia, being weak in body, but of sound in mind and memory, do make, and aim this to be my last will and testament, in the following maner that is to say Lord I command my soul to the almighty God, and my body to the earth to be decently buried, and everything my worldly estate, I dispose in the following manner. I give to Sarah my loving wife all my personal property of any kind, except whathogs may be lef after the meal for the family this insuing winter, which legancy I give her for her and her dhild for maintance and support and in life the one third of my land or dower there in. The remainderof the hogs to be sold to help pay my debts. I also direct my executors to make sale of land as soon as possible and with the price arising there from to pay all my just debts and do here by authorize my executors or any one of them to make a deed of conveyance to the purchaser in fee simpler and after all my debts are justly paid I require the balance to be equally divided between my wife and surviving children. I do hereby appoint and constitute my wife, Sarah Beaty and her father, John Burnsides my one and complete executors of this my last will and testament. Being all farmer wills and bequeths by me made and declaring this to be my last will and testament, wherefore I have hence to set my hand seal, this day ___above written, signed, sealed testament by John Beaty to be this last will and testament.
