Archer (garcher@wdn.com) Location: On the property of John Leslie ARCHER. US Rt 21 east to Wirt Co. line, turn left at mail box of J.L. ARCHER and follow dirt road that runs along Nicholas Run .5 miles and go to end of road to a log cabin occupied by John Riley ARCHER 1892-1979. Then follow the dirt trail back of the cabin north .4 miles of a mile leading uphill to the end of that trail and continue on .1 mile. The cemetery is about 60-80 yards above the stream to the right. Condition: Fenced. Readings made on 28 May 1977. The parents of John Leslie ARCHER are buried here: ARCHER Margaret Ellen ARCHER June 3, 1872- February 23, 1938 John Riley ARCHER June 8, 1871 - November 25, 1955 Our Baby - May ARCHER November 10- November 20, 1910 According to John Riley ARCHER, son of John and Margaret Ellen ARCHER, there are 2 stones, infant children of Cap COLLINS put here sometime in the 1800's, both illegtimate, as the COLLINS mother never married. She was daughter of Jake COLLINS who lived next door to the Archers near the Archer cemetery.
