Roanoke Beacon (Plymouth, NC) - 11 April 1890
James ALLEN, working at Pringle's mill, near the head of Mill Creek, Jackson 
county, W. Va., was run over by a rolling log and crushed so badly that he 
lived but forty-five minutes.
