Crabbe's Company Jefferson County, Kentucky Document in file which is hard to read is that he lost one of his eyes and had other bodily disabilites which prevented him from earning a livelihood; appeared to be about 35 years of age, and that he was eligible for a pension. I do with the advice of the Council hereby certify that John Leman, aged about 35 years, late a private in the Illinois Regt., whose pay was at the rate of 25 pounds per annum was disabled in the service of the United States; and that he is allowed the sum of 5 pounds yearly, commencing from the first of Jan. 1788.
