WILL, APPRAISEMENT AND BILL OF SALE OF THE ESTATE OF JOHN BAGBY

In the name of God Amen

I John Bagby being of sound mind and disposing memory for which I thank 
god and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life, being desirous
to dispose of all such worldy estate as it has pleased god to bless me
with. I give and bequeath the same in manner following the that is to 
say:

Item 1st, It is my will my Executors (so soon after my death as may
be practicable) shall sell my property of every kind or description
whatever and that the money arising from said sale be divided into
seven equal shares or parts and that said Executors pay over Dis of
said shares to my six children, Susannah now Susannah Spencer, John
Bagby, Isham G Bagby, Mildred, now Mildred Chaiborn, Elizabeth now
Elizabeth Pankey, James Bagby that is to say one equal share to each of 
them, and that the remaining seventh share be paid over to the children 
of my daughter Mary Corley who shall be in excistence at the time of
her deathy to be equally divided amongst them.

Item 2nd I give to two sons Henry Bagby and Daniel Bagby, one shilling
each.

Lastly I hereby constitute and appoint my friend Thomas Matthews and my 
son Isham D Bagby Executors of this my last will and testament, hereby
revoking all other former wills or testaments by me heretofore made.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and my seal this 7th
day of July in the year 1828.

At a court for Kanawha County the 10th day of November, 1835

This last will and testament of John Bagby deced was this day presented 
and adminited to record. Honored by the oaths of William Hutts and
Charles Hunter subscribers thereto.

We the undersigned appraisers appointed by the Court of Kanawha County
to appraise the personal estate of Jno Bagby decd proceed to perform
that duty Nov 21st 1835.

Blk Girl Easter $200.00

Blk Boy Cato $500.00

Blk Boy Henry $400.00

BILL OF SALE

The Estate of John Bagby decd was on the 3rd day of January 1836
offered at public auction and sold as follows to wit:

Patty and her child Andrew was bid off by John Painter

William a boy was bid off by Samuel Anderson

Esther a girl was bid off by Samuel Bagby

Cato a young man was bid off by Henry Anderson

Henry a boy was bid off by Matthews Thomas

Manko a man was bid off by Isham D Bagby

etc.

At a court held for Kanawha the 8th day of February 1836 This Sale Bill 
of the estate of John Bagby deceased was this day presented in Court
and admitted to record.
