Will of Reuben Rucker Burford

In the name of God, Amen; I Reuben R. Burford of the county of Kanawha
in the State of West Virginia, being feeble in body but of sound
disposing memory as ***, Knowing the uncertainty of life, and desiring
to make provision for the *** lien of my
property's both real and personal, do by *** presents, make, constitute
and ordain this the herein under written to be my last Will and
Testament.

First- I desire that all my just debts, which are but few, be paid by my
executor as soon as possible, and also my funeral and burial expenses,
out of such of my personal estate, as I may *** possessed.
Second- It is my Will and desire that my beloved son, Hezekiah Burgess
Burford, keep and use all the residue of my estate
both real and personal for his own benefit, and to use and benefir of my
beloved son, Calow Rucker Burford, and my beloved daughter Lucinda Ellen
Burford, the two last being minors of tender age, and that he Hezekiah
Burgess take care of, raise and
control and provide for them the said minors out of the property I leave
in his hands, until the two shall have attained the age of twenty-one
years. And when the youngest shall have attained to that age, or may
die, then it is my will and desire, and I do
bequeath unto my said Hezekiah Burgess, Calvin Rucker and Lucinda Ellen,
jointly and equally in fee simple, all the residue of my said property,
after the payment of my debts, funeral and burial expenses, and the use
of the same, until the youngest of
them hath become of lawful age as of *** which said property or estate,
they, my aforenamed sons and daughter may divide equally or sell, and
divide the money just as may *** their intersets in the same.

In Witness Whereof, I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal, this 30th
day of March in the year 1871.
