J. E.  Butcher of Bear Creek was a caller at the Democrat office Tuesday.

West Hamlin,W.Va.
     The West Hamlin school opened Monday under the sufficient management of
Principal Myrtle Lunsford and Mrs. Winfield Pearson as primary teacher. The
enrollment is reported at 18 and 30 respectively.
