SAMUEL N. JACKSON - of Fairmont, was born in Marion county, September 18, 1851,
a son of Oliver and Drusilla T. (Barns) Jackson, who were natives of what is now
Marion county. April 4, 1876, in Baltimore, Maryland, Samuel N. Jackson, wedded
Laura Lee Haymond. She was born in Marion county, February 21, 1856, a daughter
of Judge Alpheus F. and Maria (Boggess) Haymond, of Marion county. In July, 1879
Samuel N. Jackson was appointed clerk of the United States mail service, and he
is still employed in that capacity.
