Alice Nay Dies After Long Illness Mrs. Mary Alice Nay, a highly esteemed woman of the city, passed away yesterday afternoon at 3:50 o'clock in her home, No. 2, Moran apartments, Sixth street and Benoni avenue. Mrs. Nay had been ill since last August and was in Cook hospital for some time for treatment. She was taken to her home about six weeks ago and had been gradually growing worse. Mrs. Nay was the widow of Demora Nay, whose death occurred in 1911. They came to Fairmont about 36 years ago. The deceased was an excellent woman and had wide circles of friends. She was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church and of the Dr. E. W. Howard class of the church school. Mrs. Nay was quite active in church work and also belonged to the woman's auxiliary of the American Legion. Mrs. Nay is survived by several children, Orville L. Nay, William H. Nay, George A., Edward E. and Eugene D. Nay, all of Fairmont; Mrs. W. J. Riedel of Cleveland, O.; Mrs. P. A. Sales of Centerville, Ia.; Mrs. M. H. Hilghman of Fairmont. Two sons are deceased, Glenn, who died in October, 1926 and Robert Paul, in infancy. There are 13 grandchildren.
