Unknown newspaper clipping and Death Register Record
Mrs. Margaret Postlethwait, age 87, died at the home of her daughter Kate at
Barracksville, W.V. [the year 1939, there was not date]. She was born 27
October, 1852 in Ohio the daughter of William and Lucinda (Lutz) Anderson. Her
family removed to Sugar Run near Littleton when she was a child. She was a
member of the Eastview Church of God and the wife of John Postlethwait who
preceeded her in death 39 years ago (1850-1900). She is the mother of three
daughters and three sons, one son deceased. Thomas of Littleton; Mrs. L. Byard
of Wheeling; Mrs. Kate Conaway with whom she lived; Mrs. Mary Chambers, of
Fairmont; James of Hastings. A brother, Samuel Anderson of Grantsville; Sister
Mary Anderson of Watson and Katherine Rutter of Texas. There are twenty-one
grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. The burial is in Shriver Cemetery
from the Eastview Church of God with Rev. H. D. Huggins in charge.
