State of West Virginia,
To the Sheriff of McDowell County, Greeting:

We command you, in the name of the Sate of West Virginia, 
to summons Dr. G. P. Evans, E. M. Patick, Thurman Bailey, 
Snooks Parsons and Edd  Hill if they be found in your 
bailiwick, to appear before the Judge of the Criminal 
Court for McDowell County, at the Court House thereof, 
on the 12th day of October 1938 at 9 o’clock A. M., of 
said day to testify and the truth to say on behalf of 
the State of West Virginia, plaintiff, and Dayton 
Mullins, et al Defendant. And this you shall in no 
wise omit under penalty of $16. And have then and 
there this writ.

Witness:  Hobart E. Payne, Clerk 
of said Court, at the Court House of said County, on 
the 6th day of October 1938 and the 76th year of the State.
