McDowell County Deed Book 4, page 223 McDowell Co. WV Deeds David Muncy To James M. French This deed made and entered into this 13 October 1879 by David L. Muncy of the County of McDowell state of West Virginia of the first part and James M. French of the County of Bland and State of Virginia of the second part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of services heretofore rendered me by the said James M. French as attorney at law, I hereby give, grant and convey to said James M. French all the tract of land on which I now reside containing one hundred and twenty acres situated in McDowell County on and between the two Slaunch Branches tributaries of the Dry Fork of Tug River including all the land between the two Slaunch branches and running with the same on the ridge it being the same land deeded by Daniel Harman to said David Muncy oln the 3rd of April 1872 which is recorded on page 291 Deed book No. 2. Given under my hand and seal this the day and year above written. David Muncy (his mark) State of West Virginia McDowell County to wit:I Jno. F.
