Beavers, 74 of the Raven Nest Branch section, Cedar Bluff, VA who died Monday April 12, 1993 in a Tennessee medical center. The Revs. Walter Wyatt and Jimmy Harman will officate at the chapel of Singleton Funeral Service, Cedar Bluff. Burial will follow in Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery, Richlands, VA. Born in McDowell County, Mr. Beavers was a son of the late Doak and Stella Lowe Beavers. He was a retired coal miner formerly employed by Island Creek Coal Co. and a member of the UMWA. Survivors include his wife, Maxine Ramsey Beavers, one daughter, Mrs. Drema Rose Harman of Raven, Va; four sons, ene Beavers of St. Charles, Mo., Richard of Hinton, Donald of Lula, Ga and Danny Ray of North Augusta, SC; four sisters, Grace Harrison of Detroit, MI, Beulah Cobb of Bridgeton, NJ, Frances Lower of Charlottesville, Va. and Elizabeth Chambers of Squire and 10 grandchildren. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6pm today. ALEX BEAVERS Funeral service for Alex Beavers, 60, of Bradshaw, who died early Friday morning in a Welch hospital following a short illness, was conducted today at 11am in his home on Bradshaw. Burial followed in Collins Ridge Cemetery at Rockridge. Born at Indian Creek, Va. he was the son of the late Tilden and Hanna McCoy Beavers. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Octavia Kennedy Beavers; one son, Brooks Beavers of Paynesivlle; three daughters, Mrs. Trula mullins of Paynesville; Mrs. Geraldine Lester of Elkton, Md and Pearl Beavers of the home; one brother, Robert Beavers of Tazewell, Va.; six sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Strazynski and Mrs. Alice Brown of Baltimore, Md; Mrs. Rose Collins of Bradshaw, Mrs. Pearl Brant of Beartown, Mrs. Juanita Kennedy of Jolo and Mrs. Elizabeth Rena of St. Clair Shores, Mich. and eight grandchildren. BEULAH MAY BEAVERS Funeral serivce will be ocnducted at 11am Wednesday for Beulah May Beavers, 63, of War, who died Sunday April 11, 1993 in Welch Emergency Hospital. The Rev. Melvin Muncy will officiate at the true Light Church of God in Jesus Name, Shop Hollow. Burial will follow in Big Creek Cemetery, near War. Born Sept. 25, 1929 in Virginia, Mrs. Beavers was a daughter of the late Howard and Hettie Beavers. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Beavers. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jackie and Carolyn Beavers of War; one daughter, Ethel Bolen of War; one brother, John Beavers of North Carolina; one sister, Nannie Marie Beavers, address unknown and five grandchildren. Friends may call at the church aftr 6pm today. Pallbearers will be friends. Douglas Funeral Home, War is in charge of arrangements. CREED BEAVERS Creed Beavres, 89 of War died this morning in a Welch hospital. Born Feb. 14, 1878 in North Carolina, he was a son of the late James and Martha Beavers. Survivors include his wife, Febie Beavers, two sons, Howard Beavers of Nicholsville, Va., Homer Beavers of Caretta; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Helms of Falls mIlls, SC; Mrs. James Hillman of Kenosha, wis., Mrs. Nora Hillman of St. Paul, Va and Mrs. Clyde Bolen of War; a brohter, Hope Beavers of Castlewood, Va. Funral services will be conducted Saturday at 11am in Castlewood with burial to follow n Beavers Cemetery at Castlewood. O.J. Douglas Mortuary, Welch, is in charge of arrangements.
