Will of Reuben Steele, 1916 - McDowell Co. WV Will book 2 page 91, Located in McDowell County, WV courthouse. I Reuben Steele, of Iager, McDowell County, West Virginia, being of sound mind, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament; hereby revoking all other wills by me at any time made: First: I desire all my just debts to be paid, if I shall owe any at my death. Second: I give and bequeath unto my son, John Steele, the sum of One Dollar; to be paid to him in cash. Third: I give and bequeath unto my son, Levi Steele, the sum of One Dollar; to be paid to him in cash. Fourth: I give and bequeath to my daughter, Polly Rose, the sum of One Dollar, to be paid to her in cash. Fifth: I give and bequeath unto each of the heirs of my deceased daughter, Elizabeth Trent, the sum of One Dollar, each, to be paid to them in cash. Sixth: I give and bequeath unto each of the heirs of my deceased daughter, Marilda Deskins, the sum of One Dollar, each, to be paid to them in cash. Seventh: I give and bequeath unto each of the heirs of my deceased son, Larkin Steele, the sum of One Dolla, each, to be paid to them in cash. Eighth: I give and bequeath unto each of the heirs of my deceased son, Harvey Steele, the sum of One Dollar, each, to be paid to them in cash. Ninth: All the rest and residue of my estate, real and personal, I desire equally divided between my son, Ance Steele, and my daughter, Belle Martin, share and share alike. Tenth: I give my executors hereinafter mentioned full power to sell any of my real estate that may be required for the payment of debts, or for purposes of partition among devisees. Eleventh: I do hereby nominate and appoint _____ of Iaeger, McDowell County, West Virginia, executor of this my last will and testament, with full power and authority to execute the same according to its true and intended meaning.
