BRYANT CEMETERY, BRAMWELL, MERCER COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA David Hambrick and Ken Bowen collected this information in Oct. 2001 and contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives on Feb. 15, 2002. The Bryant Cemetery is African-American and is located between Pocahontas, Virginia and Bramwell, West Virginia. Take Route 120 from Bramwell toward Pocahontas and watch for the Hebrew-Bryant Cemetery sign on the left about a half-mile before you reach the Virginia line. There are 160 graves with tombstones, and a very large number of graves that are marked with fieldstones, and many others that have no stones. This is a very rough cemetery with a lot of bushes and briers. Cheshire R. Froe Born June 2, 1848 Cheshire was the first black lawyer in southern Died July 20, 1910 West Virginia.
