COOPERS CEMETERY, BRAMWELL, MERCER COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA This information was collected on April 26, 2003 by David Hambrick, Lemoyne Lemoyne Hendrick, and Ken Bowen , and contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives July 18, 2003. This cemetery was also called the Cooper Cemetery because John Cooper, the coal pioneer, was buried here first, and later removed. From Route 52 in Bramwell take Route 120 toward Pocahontas, Virginia. Turn right at the railroad bridge at Coopers, and go up Mill Creek Hollow. Park your vehicle by the railroad tracks, and walk a little used dirt road, through a gate, passed some cabins, and up and around the mountain for almost a mile. This is a very rough cemetery with 36 tombstones, and many graves with no markers, and others with broken tombstones. Harry M.
