Tabernacle Hill Cemetery, Montcalm, Mercer County, West Virginia This cemetery was transcribed on June 12, 2001 by David Hambrick and Ken Bowen. and contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives on July 16, 2001. ======================================================================== From Route 52 in Bluewell, take Route 71 (Lorton Lick Road) to Montcalm. Just as you enter downtown Montcalm take the first road to the right that goes up the hill. Go about one quarter of a mile, and the road to the cemetery is on the left in a steep curve. The Cemetery is large with sections that are fenced, and other areas that are not. All but two of the fenced sections are taken care of very beautifully. But, since the caretaker died a few years ago, the other areas of the cemetery have a lot of brush and briers. We counted 51 graves with tombstones that we could read, and counted 23 graves marked with fieldstones. But there's many more graves hidden in the thick brush. HALL Booker P. Ellen J.
