Blankenship and Sarah his wife of the one part and Russell Hager of the other part. Witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of Eight Hundred dollars in hand paid by the said Russell Hager to the said Wm. D. Blankenship the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said Wm. D. Blankenship & Sarah his wife have this day bargain and sold to the said Russell Hager a certain tract or parcel of land lying in Mercer County adjoining the lands of the said Russell Hager Anderson Fletcher & others and bounded as follows: Beginning at a white oak on the top of the Middle ridge a corner tree of the lands of said Hager and said Fletcher thence a northwest course passing a large Rock west of said Blakenships house to the back line being the line of Davidson agreed upon between said Fletcher and said Blakenship in the land purchased by them of Henry T. McDowel Aty & thence following the line of the said purchase to the beginning including the lower end of said purchase of said McDowell. The said Wm. D. Blankenship and Sarah his wife doth warrant generally the title to the above boundary of land. Witness the following signatures. William X (his mark) Blankenship Sarah X (her mark) Blankenship Mercer County to wit: This day William D. Blankenship & Sarah his wife personally appeared before me in my said County & acknowledged the same. She the said Sarah Blankenship being examined by me privily & apart from her said husband & having the deed aforesaid fully explained to her declared that she had willingly executed the same & did not wish to retract it.
